Derby City Council welcomes units from the Army on Thursday 6th July for a recruitment day at the Council House from 9.30am.

Army vehicles, displays and information stands will be set up for anyone interested in finding out more about a career or an insight into military life.

Among the units attending will be 148 Field Company 104 Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers, 159 Royal Logistic Corps (Burton Detachment) and F Company 4th Battalion The Mercian Regiment (The Regional Infantry Unit).

Councillor Ranjit Banwait, Leader of Derby City Council, said:

“It’s great to welcome the local Army units. We held a similar day last autumn which proved very popular and informative.

“These recruitment days are part of our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces who carry out such important work for the whole country.”
