An Arts exhibition exploring and celebrating the history of Derby is taking place later this month.

The ‘Past, Present and Future’ event will uncover details of the Townscape Heritage Initiative, a Derby City Council and Heritage Lottery Fund sponsored programme, which aims to restore the city’s most historic buildings.

Artists from Derby College and Derby City Council’s Adult Learning Service have used historical sources and their own inspiration to celebrate Derby’s proud heritage through paintings, ceramics, textiles, sculpture, music, poetry, writing and more.

The exhibition will be showcased at St Peter’s Church, a historic building with 11th Century origins, on Friday 23rd June from 6pm onwards. Live music and refreshments will also be available. For further information on the Townscape Heritage Initiative, please visit:
