The Mayor of Derby, Councillor John Whitby, joined by the new Dean of Derby, The Revd Canon Dr Stephen Hance and the Bishop of Derby, Alistair Redfern today opened a book of condolence at the Council House to express sympathy and solidarity with the family and friends of victims caught up in Saturday night’s terror attack on London Bridge and neighbouring Borough Market.

The Mayor of Derby, Councillor John Whitby said:

“We are all appalled by the senseless attacks in London on Saturday night. We are all strengthened by the resolve and resilience of London’s citizens in the face of these events. Derby stands with London and our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by this tragedy. ”

The book will be available to sign in the Council House Reception alongside a second book for those affected by the recent Manchester bombing.
