Volunteers, Council staff, and local businesses joined forces yesterday to carry out Derby’s first City Centre Deep Clean!

Working tirelessly throughout the day, staff from Derby City Council, volunteers, Councillors and businesses painted, cleaned and repaired key spots in the city centre, including the Market Place, Fish Market and Peter Hilton Gardens.

Councillor Jonathan Smale, Cabinet Member for Communities, Neighbourhoods and Streetpride has said that this is only the beginning, and hopes to roll out these events across the city, with help from local businesses, community groups and volunteers.
