As part of the continuing drive to further improve access to Council services, next week the Council’s Derby Direct to You portal will be starting a transformation. The new online portal, My Account will make accessing services online, quicker and easier and will include new features including real-time tracking of customer service requests and reports.

The new system also means that more services than ever will be available to residents 24/7, so they can access them at a time and in a place that’s convenient for them.

Some of the first services that will be available on MyAccount include:

  • Missed Bin report
  • Bin deliveries and removals
  • Tip Permit Request
  • Adoption and Fostering Enquiries
  • Request Childcare Information
  • Become a Childcare Provider
  • Council Tax services
  • Report an issue on a Park
  • Copy Certificate Request
  • Citizenship Ceremony Booking
  • Baby Naming Ceremony Enquiry
  • Renewal of Vows Enquiry
  • Licensed Premises Enquiry
  • Wedding or Civil Ceremony Enquiry
  • Grass Cutting and Weed Spraying

In order to access these new services and features, residents will be encouraged to sign up for an account on the portal so they can manage requests and payments such as Council Tax in one single dashboard.

Councillor Baggy Shanker, Cabinet Member for Finance and Governance said:
