Derby City Council is consulting on a proposal to expand Murray Park School.
There is increasing demand for secondary school places in Derby which includes Murray Park.
The proposal is to increase the school’s admission number from 220 up to a maximum of 330. This means that there could eventually be an additional 550 places available across the school.
Further information on the proposals are included in the consultation document, which can be viewed on the Council’s website along with details of how to get involved.
The consultation will be open for six weeks ending on Tuesday 15 August 2017. Once the consultation period has closed, Council Cabinet will consider the responses received and decide whether or not to go forward with the next stage of consultation. A final decision will be made by December 2017.
If the proposal is given the go-ahead, the school’s admission number would begin to increase from September 2019.
