Residents in Derbyshire are being encouraged to visit the Derbyshire Constabulary Cyberhub for cyber safety advice to help people to stay safe online over the festive season.

Digital PCSO Shevani Raichura said:

With the festive season fast approaching, many of us will be heading online to get a head start on our Christmas shopping. However, this is also a time where criminals will target their victims by offering deals that seem too good to miss.

Safer Neighbourhood Officers across the County have been heading out on the beat as part of the Cybercrime Roadshow to help residents to shop safely online in the run up to Christmas.

The roadshow kicked off in Chesterfield on Friday, November 18 and is set to finish on Thursday, December 8 in Ilkeston.

Cyber Roadshow event still to take place:

  • Thursday 8th December – Market stall on Bath Street in Ilkeston between 10am and 1pm. PC Malcolm Atherton.
