Carers of people with a diagnosis of dementia are being encouraged to attend a free health information session in Derby to learn more about the condition.

A team of dementia experts from Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be on hand to answer any questions local people may have about the condition and to provide advice and support on living well with dementia in the home environment.

A carer who attended one of the Trust’s previous dementia health information sessions, said:

“The dementia session has been really beneficial and has taught me how to be more understanding and patient with the person I care for. I’d recommend future meetings to anyone looking to understand this commonly misunderstood condition better. I was looking for help from experienced people, and from it I feel I’ve gained a lot of experience myself.”

Date: Wednesday 15th February

Time: 6.00pm – 8.00pm

Location: Dovedale Day Hospital, London Road, Derby DE1 2XX
