Recently, VisitBritain launched a campaign called Join The World targeting Millennials (young adults) in the UK by encouraging them to see UK destinations through the eyes of International visitors.
DCC Tourism Team VisitDerby submitted content for the project and the city was selected as one of 12 destinations to be featured in the Daily Telegraph. The Telegraph sent a film crew to cover a young International couple, Pablo and Leva’s visit to Derby which circulates around the Cathedral Quarter and the great places to visit and eat and drink.
Councillor Amo Raju, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture said:
“We are really pleased to see Derby getting international recognition as a visitor destination. This coverage in the Daily Telegraph, places Derby alongside Belfast and Oxford showing what a huge growth opportunity the Visitor Economy sector is for our city.”
