In the most illustrious night of the year so far, the Mayor will be hosting a fundraiser ball at the 3aaa County Cricket ground on Saturday 28th April.
The suave and sophisticated black tie event is expected to sell out fast as residents clamour to help the Mayor support his charities with a night on the tiles.
The Mayor of Derby, Councillor John Whitby commented:
“This is going to be a fantastic event and a really great way for citizens to get involved with helping me fundraise for my chosen charities.”
If you want to book your place at this exclusive event, email Wendy Bird. A table of ten is £350 and includes a three course meal and tea and coffee for each person.
The Mayor’s chosen charities include Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre, Safe and Sound, Children First Derby, the British Red Cross and Derby Museums.
The event is sponsored by Buildbase, Geldards, Bell Group, Specsavers, Galliford Try, Tomlinson, Century Mobile, Hannells and Cushman and Wakefield.
