The In Sync Festival is a fabulous celebration of Derby’s diverse cultures taking place in the city centre on Saturday 22 July. The day will feature a whole range of music and dance performances from Derby’s diverse cultures.

Running from 11am to 2pm outside St Peter’s Church and the Spot there will be creative performances by established ethnic minority groups and newer refugee and migrant groups too.

The day has been organised by Upbeat Communities, on behalf of Derby City Council. Councillor Asaf Afzal said “It’s going to be fun filled family day for the whole community, showcasing the diversity of our city, and a great opportunity for us to all learn more about each other”

Also on Saturday the Market Place is host to Derby Mela. Running between 12noon and 6pm. Featuring Sukshinder Shinda, JK, Tru-Skool, Guru Siddhu and DJ Frenzy and many others. There’ll also be food, workshops, art and dance.
