The council along with a number of volunteers have helped clean-up Chaddesden Park to make sure it is free of litter and waste.

A number of people including Neighbourhood Partnership Officers,  Ward Councillors and several young people who attend the local youth club spent some time (Tuesday 14th February) making sure the park was clean and tidy for everyone in the community.

The team helped remove any rubbish in the park and spoke to many local residents including dog walkers who thanked the group for their efforts.

Councillor Sara Bolton, Chair of the Chaddesden Neighbourhood Board, said:

It is important that we encourage people not to drop litter and to maintain the beauty of OUR park. I thank everyone who took part in the litter pick and has helped make our park a more pleasant place for the community.

As part of the wider Great British Spring Clean campaign, the Keep Chaddesden Tidy Group along with a number of locals schools will be litter picking on Friday 3rd March from 12.30pm.

If any more schools/local groups would like to get involved and show their support then please let us know by calling 01332 888 751.
