After last year’s hugely successful efforts, the Council’s Street Cleansing teams will be running a litter pick along the A38 this week.

Starting on Tuesday (16th April), a team will be making their way along the verges of the A38 starting at the A516 and Kingsway, working towards Little Eaton island. This work will all be done at night, and is estimated to take five days.

The team will be working Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th April then again from Tuesday 23rd April for a further three nights.  There will be some partial road closures between 8.00pm and 5.00am. Traffic management measures will be in place to ensure safety and accessibility.

The litter pick will be led by the Street Cleansing team, and will involve around eight team members. Once the work is done, we hope residents will join us in our efforts to keep the area clean and not drop any litter on these verges.
