The Council along with a number of volunteers have helped to clean-up Chaddesden Park to keep it free of litter and waste during the busy summer months.

A number of people including youth workers, ward Councillors, Derby Homes Housing Manager and several young people from the local Youth Club spent some time making sure the park was clean and tidy for others who visit the park.

Councillor Sara Bolton, Chair of the Chaddesden Neighbourhood Board says of the litter pick,

Obviously during the summer months Chaddesden Park is used more often because of the school holidays. Litter bins are likely to fill quicker during this time, so if you see a bin that is full, please take your litter home with you or dispose of it sensibly.

The Keep Chaddesden Tidy group meets regularly at different locations to carry out their litter picks.

If you’d like to volunteer to help the group with their litter picks, please contact Councillor Sara Bolton via email at sara.bolton@derby.gov.uk
