The outcome of a consultation into how taxis licensing and administration will operate in Derby was considered by Licensing Committee last night, in front of a full public gallery.
Following the recommendations of the Public Interest Report, councillors agreed to carry out a review of taxi licensing procedures in Derby last May.
More than 400 members of the public and taxi trade responded to the consultation, from which proposals have been developed that will be considered at a meeting of Council on Wednesday 23rd November.
Councillors will vote on whether to adopt a series of measures to enhance safeguarding and improve standards.
