As part of their Railway Upgrade Plan, Network Rail will be starting works to improve signalling and remodelling the track at Derby Railway Station. The project aims to improve service efficiency.

A number of city residents have recently received information leaflets informing them of piling works that are due to begin on Saturday 30th September and will be taking place overnight at weekends until Sunday 19th November.

The nature of the work means that some nearby residents may experience some disturbance.

To help residents understand more about the works taking place at Derby Railway Station, Network Rail will be holding an information event on Thursday 21st September at the Hallmark Hotel on Midland Road from 2.00pm – 7.00pm. The event will allow residents to ask questions and find out more about the project.

Further information can also be found on the Network Rail Website, by calling the 24 hour National Helpline on 03457 11 41 41 or by following them on Twitter.
