As part of its year-round programme of writing activity, QUAD will be hosting three new writing courses throughout February, covering a wide range of material as well as welcoming a number of new tutors to the venue.
Writing a Novel. Wednesdays, commencing 19th February, 6.30pm to 9.00pm, £115 or £105 for concessions.
Led by writing tutor, lecturer and author Helen Cooper, this eight-week course will look at planning and plotting, characterization, building suspense, dialogue, editing and much more. This course will be ideal for anyone who made that New Year’s Resolution to get their book written, or writers who have struggled to get their past novels finished.
Self-Publishing for Beginners. Thursdays, commencing 20th February, 6.30pm to 9.00pm, £115 or £105 for concessions.
Led by tutor and successful self-published author Dawn Brookes, This eight week course will cover key aspects of self-publishing including marketing, cover design, publishing e-books, book formatting. Perfect for anyone looking to get their work published in 2020, or those authors who’ve considered self-publishing but weren’t sure where to start.
