Record numbers of people switched energy supplier in February 2018, following on from a record breaking switching year throughout 2017 (Energy UK). RAM Energy is proud to have thrown a cat amongst the pigeons within the energy industry, and with more people moving to small-mid tier providers than ever before the future is looking even brighter.
The ‘Beast From The East’ brought bitterly cold temperatures through March which many people hadn’t experienced before during Spring, the last time it snowed in the Midlands in Spring was March 2007, 11 years ago. These very low temperatures led to many people keeping their heating on and thermostat turned higher than they normally would at this time of the year, leading to higher than expected bills and usage during March. During these cold temperatures many people have made the switch to RAM Energy, over 2,000 meter points have now been requested to move to RAM Energy since October, helping more people save money on their gas and electricity bills.
The cold temperatures combined with the release of our newest tariff, RAM Energy Fixed Plus Extra, have both lead to this rise in households making the request to move their gas and electricity supply to RAM Energy, a not-for-profit provider.
Moving to RAM Energy Fixed Plus Extra could save customers up to £180.04 a year if they are currently on an average ‘Big 6’ standard variable tariff*, and will secure customers a fixed price on their tariff for longer.
RAM Energy is available to the people of Derby and the Midlands, to help them save money on their energy bills.
