Work is planned to be completed on Wednesday 30th May for one day only to make improvements to the car park at North View, adjacent to Burton Road. The work will take place between Hallmark and SureLet, although there may be disruption to some of the businesses on either side of this.

The one-day project will involve planing out the existing surface and replacing with new tarmac. During the work, the car park in this section will be closed to the public, deliveries and tenants.

Businesses can remain open, and a supervisor will be on site will to offer any help to ensure customers can access the shops safely. We have erected work notification signs and will put up ‘business as usual’ signs closer to the day to emphasise this message. The area will be cordoned off for the safety of passing pedestrians.

Please note, we are not resurfacing the car park to the rear of the shops.

This plan is subject to good weather and no other urgent work taking priority. Work will commence at 8.00am and should be completed at approximately 3.00pm. Work will be completed by Derby City Council’s Streetpride team.

Local businesses are aware, and may be taking measures to remind customers closer to the time.

If you have any questions regarding the scheme itself, please contact highways.maintenance@derby.gov.uk. We understand that the work will cause some disruption to residents and local businesses and we are working to a tight programme.

We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding while we undertake this much-needed improvement work.
